D'Addario BW053 Losse snaar voor gitaar

Replacement Acoustic Guitar String with Bright, Projecting Tone

The D'Addario BW053 is a single .053" (1.35 mm) acoustic guitar string from the 80/20 Bronze Wound series, the original acoustic string alloy co-created by John D'Addario Sr. and John D'Angelico in the 1930s. This single string is designed as a replacement for a broken or worn string, or for players who want to customize their gauge selection without buying a full set. The nickel-plated steel wrap in a round wound construction delivers the bright, crisp, deep, and projecting tone that 80/20 Bronze is known for. Made in the USA at D'Addario's New York production facility, this string offers the same quality and consistency as the strings in a full D'Addario 80/20 Bronze set.

Who Is This String For?

The D'Addario BW053 is the right choice for acoustic guitar players who need a replacement string in the .053" gauge range, typically used as the low E or A string on a standard 6-string acoustic guitar. It's ideal for players who want to maintain the bright, crisp tone of 80/20 Bronze strings without purchasing a full set, or for those building custom gauge sets to suit their playing style. The 80/20 Bronze alloy appeals to traditionalists and vintage enthusiasts for its historical significance, and is popular for recording due to its bright, crisp, deep, and projecting tone. Whether you're a beginner who broke a string or an experienced player fine-tuning your setup, this single string delivers the same bright, crisp tone as the strings in a full D'Addario 80/20 Bronze set.
