Extended Hardware Support for Pro Tools | Carbon

Pro Tools | Carbon ships with one year of standard hardware coverage, under which a repair or replacement can take four to six weeks. The 3-Year Extended Hardware Support plan extends that hardware coverage to three years from the time of purchase and replaces the standard turnaround with advance replacement, keeping creative downtime to a minimum.

How Advance Replacement Works

If your Carbon unit develops a hardware defect, Avid sends a replacement with overnight shipping before the faulty unit is returned, and covers shipping in both directions (customs duties and associated charges may apply). Advance replacement applies only to defective hardware that is not caused by abuse or neglect. Additional technical support is not part of this plan.

Who It Is For

The plan is intended for owners of a Pro Tools | Carbon interface who rely on it for recording, client sessions, or teaching and cannot afford to wait weeks for a repair. It must be added within 90 days of registering the Carbon. Owners of Pro Tools | Carbon Pre use the separate plan for that model.
