The Nyx Reissue is a faithful all-analog paraphonic semi-modular synthesizer from Dreadbox — a complete reproduction of the original Nyx V1 in a compact, Eurorack-compatible 42 HP format. Powered via USB, it delivers rich harmonic textures through its warm oscillators, classic dual filter, loopable envelope generators, and a lush built-in reverb effect.

Dual Oscillators and Waveshaping

Two oscillators, each with two waveforms, form the core of the Nyx Reissue sound. Individual Octave, Level, and Glide controls are provided for each, alongside Hard Sync and OSC2 Detune for timbral variety ranging from subtle detuning to aggressive overtone shaping. A Master Tune knob ensures precise overall pitch control.

Classic Dreadbox Dual Filter

The signature state variable dual filter operates at either 12 dB/oct or 24 dB/oct and accepts separate filter inputs, opening up complex signal routing possibilities. Its warm, musical character is a defining element of the Nyx Reissue sound.

Modulators and Vibrato LFO

A dedicated Vibrato LFO sits alongside three independent modulators that can each be configured as an LFO, AR envelope, or ASR envelope. This flexible arrangement enables rich modulation without requiring any patching.

Patch Bay and CV Integration

Eighteen patch points provide full CV connectivity: outputs include VCO 2, MOD 2, Noise, Mod Wheel, Gate, and 1V/oct; inputs cover CV1, CV2, Cutoff, CV, Gate, Post Cutoff, PW, and VCA. Both VCO and VCF routing offer four selectable options, ensuring seamless integration into any Eurorack system.

Paraphonic Playability and MIDI

Nyx Reissue operates in monophonic or paraphonic (duo) mode, with Legato support, OTA VCA, and Master Level control. MIDI input is available via both DIN5 and TRS, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of keyboards and sequencers.

Built-in Reverb

A lush reverb effect is integrated directly into the signal chain, adding spatial depth and atmosphere to any patch without the need for external processing.

USB Power and Eurorack Compatibility

Consuming just 1.5 W, the Nyx Reissue is USB-powered and can operate for up to 50 hours from a 20,000 mAh power bank. It is fully Eurorack compatible, drawing 200 mA at +12 V and 110 mA at − 12 V. The package includes the 42 HP case, a DIN5-to-3.5 mm MIDI adapter, and a ribbon cable.
